Current travel situation
Portugal extended the state of emergency throughout the country until March 31st, 2021.
There are several restrictions in place concerning air traffic from certain countries. Flights from the EU & Schengen countries are recommended for essential travelling. Also flights to Non-EU countries are exclusively authorised for essential travelling. Essential travelling means in particular travelling for professional reasons, study, family reunification, for health or humanitarian reasons.
Are there any travel restrictions on the students’ country of origin?
Currently all flights from Brazil and the UK are suspended.
Do I need a PCR test?
All travellers entering Portugal are required to provide a negative PCR test not older than 72 hours when boarding.
What is the quarantine situation?
Travellers who arrive in Portugal from countries with an incidence rate of 500 cases or more per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days.
